Creative | Kinetic Rain — Dynamic Art in Changi Airport Departure Hall
This artwork sits in the departure hall of Terminal 1, Changi Airport, Singapore, adding motion and depth to a bustling transit space.

The installation consists of many symmetric modules, each containing 608 copper-plated droplets. Droplets are connected by steel wires to computer-controlled motors that raise and lower them precisely, creating a continuous mechanical “rain” effect. The overall installation covers more than 75 square meters and stands over 7.3 meters tall, offering different visual experiences from above, below, and the side.

In public spaces and transport hubs, large-scale dynamic sculptures can serve as visual anchors and reference cases for brand and city image communication.
